And after that purchase, you'll be living in it!

If you drive it straight home from where you bought it, and then never drive it again, you should only have to spend about $12k per year on maintenance.

I remember finding a ~25K Quattroporte and going apeshit over it on Oppo and everyone was warning me about maintenance.
But they didn't know that I don't even have a license, so there's no way I could get it even if I tried, haha.

Probably Not The Best Idea
However, when it works it'll make great engine noises and when its broken down in your driveway you can tell people "Yeah, thats MY Maserati. No you can't go for a ride because reasons"

I'm no expert on Maseratis but I'm guessing that Italian build quality combined with luxury car repair costs seems like a recipe for disaster...

Does that look like it wants to hurt you? No, It just want's to be your friend! Seriously, you could probably drive it for the next 2 years, then resell it for minimal loss, or it it grenades, part it out and make back some monies.

I've heard it's not that bad as long as you get the 6MT, keep up with the scheduled maintenance, and are OK with living with interior flaws. Apparently everything in the interior tends to fall apart prematurely. If you can live with sagging leather and faulty switches then you won't have to spend as much money per year as people that want everything to be perfect. I mean who cares if you're able to roll the windows back up? Just make sure it's not your DD and that you don't drive it while raining, haha.

What about a 14K Maserati?

If you like it buy it. Find a good mechanic and service center and address the known issues. 24k? might be a bargain for this car in 25 years or so. It may be the next 250GTO
Its an emotional choice because financially its a non starter.

Heh. I thought you were referring to a 24k gold Maserati. (Plated, presumably.)
